Me as a very young child.  I had my hair cut shortly after this was taken, and the strange thing is, my mother kept the hair that was cut off in a small silver tin.  Possibly even more strange is the fact that I still have it!
This was taken a few days before my sixth birthday in 1956.  Cheerful little chap, and not quite so chubby!
My sister and me on the beach at Great Yarmouth; probably around 1960.  See the next section for an up-to-date view of little sister!
Mother and me in her garden c. late 1970s, I am still slim with a full head of hair, although the pants are a little short!.  You can see how the plants have grown over the years if you compare it to the picture on the right; same corner of the garden, but this one was taken many years later.
Mother, Father, my baby sister and me in the garden of our house in Wrexham, Wales, around 1953/4.

My mother and me.  Probably a few months after I was born while we were still overseeas.
My Mother, in black, and my Father, in uniform, having a good time at the Officer's club!. I believe that these were taken around the time when they married, in Egypt where they met.
Mother and Father in their garden.  Father looking uncharacteristically laid back!  Very rare to catch him without a jacket.  Late 1950s or early 1960s.
My Mother demonstrating her method of repelling burglars with my Father's ceremonial army sword, which had been my grandfather's before that!  Of course, it had no edge on it, but would probably cause a nasty bruise.  I brought the sword with me to New York; declared & quite legal.
My Father, with a great moustache!
Lots of old family photographs, and some newer ones!  Most are very old prints we have scanned.  I have done some retouching to try and eliminate, or at least hide, damage.  These pictures are of my immediate family.  The "my Mother's Family" page contains pictures of her family.
This is Port Fouad, Egypt, on the Mediterranean Sea.  It is on the opposite side of the Suez Canal from Port Said.  Mother and I went there on vacation in 1951.
Another one; this time, without my Mother.  Chubby little chap.

William's Family

Taken in the early 1960s outside Marie-Reine's house in York, in the UK.
Mother with her first grand daughter, my neice Sara.  She now has her own daughter, Ellie.
William as a "south seas island girl" at a costume party some time in the late 1970s when I was in my late 20s.  Just about all the other guys turned up in torn "T" shirts and cut-off jeans, so we easily won the bottle of Champagne for best costumes.
William with a 1971 Triumph Vitesse Mk II Convertible.  Taken around 1974 after I had a new white soft-top fitted which looked great for a while then, unfortunately, became a pale, mottled grey very quickly!
William as a drum majorette.  This was taken by the living room fireplace in the second house we had in Wembley in 1982 or 1983.
