Servant's Passage

I demolished virtually all the walls in the servant's passage, that leads from the kitchen into the lobby area, and rebuilt them with sheetrock.  The servants quarters, which were upstairs above the kitchen, were reached from a back staircase off the kitchen.  This allowed them to access the main bedrooms without having to use the main staircase.
Here, the old plaster has been removed leaving the laths, over which I applied sheetrock.  We took the opportunity to have a wall lamp and associated switch re-wired.  The white box on the wall is a removable access panel to the plumbing for the shower in the small bathroom off the guest bedroom.
The radiator was in very poor condition having been painted many times over the years.  I chose to refinished it in black and silver hammered enamel, which I think looks quite good.
The pictures are fashion prints taken from 1930s magazines.  I think they look good framed up.  The lamp is modern.
