After leaving Seattle, the ship took course through the Strait of Juan de Fuca, then to the west of Vancouver Island. It then sailed through Queen Charlotte Sound into the Inside Passage. This is Cape Mudge Lighthouse on the southern tip of Quadra Island off the coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. It is at the southern entrance to Discovery Passage.
