Vacations -
Massachusetts - Cape Cod
On the first day of the 2009 trip, we had lunch in small village of Sesuit, on the north coast of Cape Cod, at this beach side restaurant. The gulls kept a close watch on the proceedings.
While we did not take to Provincetown, as it is very touristy, we lucked out with this restaurant, Fanizzi's by the Sea, that had fabulous views out over the sea and good, reasonably priced food for lunch. A return trip in 2011 confirmed our opinion; another excellent meal.
Seafood on the Water is one of Deborah's favorite restaurants in Cape Cod. She loves Lobster, and this serves a very good one. Not so good if you do not like fish
or seafood, as there is very little else on the menu! I am not fond of our piscine friends, and am very averse to bivalves, but usually enjoy an excellent swordfish.
Anthony's Cummaquid Inn, which is near Yarmouth Port, MA, is an institution. It was first opened in 1975 by Anthony Athanas, who had started his first restaurant, called Anthony's Hawthorne, in Lynn, Massachusetts, in 1937. Good, slightly pricey food, and an excellent, and very reasonable, wine list. Spectacular views which you can see in the section on Yarmouth Port.
Deborah's mother and her friend at Anthony's. They lost touch 56 years ago, and this was the first time they had been in touch since then.

Cape Cod Restaurants
We always have dinner once on each trip at Sam Diego's Buenos Nachos, a TexMex restaurant outside of Hyannis that I particularly like. The chili is a touch mild, but enjoyable, and the fajitas are excellent. They provide good, plentiful food and wine at a very reasonable price!
Two excellent restaurants in Chatham. The Chatham Squire to the left, and the slightly more formal Wild Goose to the right.
Sandi's Diner where we go every morning for very early coffee when we stay in Chatham, MA. We would then drive down to the shore, near the Chatham Lighthouse, to drink it. We also enjoyed some good diner lunches.
