Wellfleet

Iris we found growing wild on the way down to the beach at Wellfleet. 
Marconi built America's first transatlantic radio transmitter station onthe coast in South Wellfleet between 1901 and 1902.  Theodore Roosevelt sent the first US message to the UK to King Edward VII on January 18, 1903.  This is all that remains of the buildings as so much of the coast has been eroded.
