The wrought iron gates were purchased in 1890 from the Saracen Foundary in Scotland. Originally installed on the Arched Pavilion, that was the main entrance to the park, about 150 mts/yds north of their current location. They were moved to their present location on the southeast corner of the Gardens in 1907.
