The Norfolk Broads comprises a series of waterways on the eastern side of England in an area called East Anglia. It is a very popular vacation destination where, in addition to many hotels and guest houses, there are also boats and cottages available for hire. My family were regular visitors from the late 1950s through to the early 1960s, after which I chose not to vacation with my parents any longer! Most of the pictures here were taken around 1960 when we rented the Sea Wanderer. The last picture is the following year on the Sea Courier. Though an army man, my father took to boating in a big way. He even did a course in maritime navigation. You may want to visit the Norfolk Broads section of the Beautiful Britain website for more pictures of different boats.
The pictures show, variously, my mother, father and sister; as well as me.
