The area around what is now Warren was first explored and settled around the 1620s and 1630s. Massachusetts ceded the town to Rhode Island in 1747. View across the Palmer River. Built in 1914 with three arches, the Palmer River Bridge was replaced recently with this handsome new four arch bridge. Appearance is very similar to the old bridge.
