Vacations - Tresaith, Wales

Tresaith is a village on the Welsh Coast.  It even has a web site; of course, when we were staying there, the Internet did not exist.

These pictures date back to 1967 and 1968, so I was 16 tor 17.  They include many old friends.  I am at the back, extreme right.  The sad thing is, I have forgotten the names of many of the people in this photograph, although with some, I remain in contact.  We belonged to a youth group, the Junior 70 Club.  Each year, we would all go to Tresaith for a vacation.  We rented a converted church, I think it was, where the boys slept.  A (very) separate building housed the girls!  The pictures have been scanned, no digital cameras in those days, so quality leaves a little to be desired.  If anyone who sees this was there, I would love to have some more pictures to add to the site.
What fine figures of young men!  I am, most fortunately, not in it!  No names, no pack drill.
The girls dorm.  For reasons probably best forgotten, we used shaving foam to write "Brazen Hussies" on the wall, just to the left of the steps.  Unfortunately, when we tried to wash it off, it left a residue, and the words could still be seen!  Wonder if it is still there?
I guess I am either just arriving or just leaving!  The rucksack was with me for years and years, and went all over the country.  The coat was from an ex-army store!  Instead of Man at Versace I was Man at Millets!
A couple of rather blurry pictures taken on the beach
I am lying down; friend David is sitting and looking somewhat out of it!  It is obvious that we took body building very seriously back then.
